Do you wish you had quick and efficient solutions to make your daily routine easier?

Well, we have some exciting news for you! The FRANCIS Frugal Innovation challenge is here to help you create your own space with the help of industry coaches, buddies, and facilitators.

The FRANCIS project partners are thrilled to announce the first-ever FRANCIS Frugal Innovation challenge. This challenge is for everyone who needs simple, sustainable, and affordable solutions at home. Whether you’re looking for ways to prepare food, cook, preserve leftovers, clean dishes, or wash clothes, this challenge is for you. Our team of mentors will be there to guide you every step of the way.

At the end of the challenge, we’ll provide support to help you bring your best ideas to life. If we love your idea, you can sell it to an industry coach, take the next steps together, or even start your own business. The choice is yours!

This challenge is specifically designed to attract participants from India, Germany, and Turkey, but it’s open to everyone who is at least 18 years old and speaks English, German, or Turkish. We’re looking for individuals who value simplicity, including families with restricted budgets and space, people with a minimalist mindset, and senior citizens managing their own households. We’re also excited to hear from entrepreneurs with new ideas that could change the market.

Even if you don’t have any ideas or time to participate, you can still join as a supporter and provide input and feedback to the participants.

Join as a Participant

You can participate by yourself or as a team of up to five friends or family members.
The facilitators of our challenge will help by inviting you to creativity sessions from time to time. In addition, you can talk to an industry coach about technical or business questions. A student buddy supports you in creative discussions, the preparation of presentations and the handling of the IT platform.
You can skip any session that is inconvenient for you and leave the challenge with your idea at any time – your idea stays yours. If you make it to round two, you will receive a financial grant for your efforts.
If you make it to round three, you will receive another grant and the opportunity to sell your idea to the industry coach or advice on how to proceed by yourself.

Join as a Supporter

You are excited about the challenge but don’t have any good ideas or no time to participate? Join FRANCIS as a supporter!
As a supporter, you contribute to the challenge with input and feedback. You help us to ensure that the challenge promotes ideas that meet your specific needs and that are beneficial for nature and society.
How does this work? The facilitators who organise the competition will talk to you from time to time. They do this to learn about your household and kitchen habits and needs. They will also show you ideas developed during the challenge and ask for your feedback.
You are free to choose which surveys and events you take part in, and you can leave the supporter community at any time.
